Why We’re Running

We are excited about the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of our community at an increased capacity. We’re eager to apply a fresh perspective and diverse backgrounds in municipal, business, non-profit, and corporate sectors to bring innovative ideas and renewed energy to the Township as it moves forward.

Our initial focus will be on the following priorities:

1.     Stewardship of township funds through careful consideration and evaluation of new hires, initiatives, purchases, intergovernmental agreements, and review and refinement of related policies to enhance fiscal efficiency.

2.     Expand and improve channels for ongoing, two-way dialogue with Ela residents to enhance engagement and communication and increase awareness of the Township's diverse services.

3.     Respond to the evolving workforce landscape by implementing strategies to attract and retain top talent while consistently delivering high-quality services. This includes promoting workplace flexibility, establishing clear processes and cross-training staff to maintain continuity, improving and standardizing hiring practices, building a culture of trust, support, and respect, and creating onboarding programs for new employees and board members.
